I am the creator of Page Rage (https://page-rage.com/), which I released about two weeks ago. Page Rage didn't get too much traction on Hacker News (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49746963), but it did end up being a top post on r/webdev (https://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/1whepc7/page_rage_d...) and r/playmygame (https://www.reddit.com/r/playmygame/comments/1whfp3g/my_firs...)
The linked project "Destroy any website" makes it's own distinct creative and gameplay choices. It may have been inspired by Page Rage or it may have been a case of "multiple discovery". Either way, "Destroy any website" is not a low quality slop clone, it's clearly had a lot of thought put into it

For me, on librewolf, the entire opposite is true. Spritefusion looks like an extemely buggy thingy while PageRage works incredibly well

Seems a little suspect that you didn't know about the other one given how similar the game mechanics work, down to the jetpack to fly around.
It is possible to both make a copy of something, and also do it with deep care and add more features, no?

We shouldn't be surprised when this sort of thing happens in the age of LLMs.
All LLMs do is select the next word based on their training data then repeat.
When people rely on vibecoding, a non-zero fraction of users will inevitably end up with the same results.

Oh this is lovely. I started doing something similar, but I was generating the stage based on the DOM and some CSS features, but kept getting weird boundaries (read: the character would float on unseen edges)
I later thought about using an edge-detection algorithm to capture the page as an image (triggered on page events), but never fully implemented it and shelved the project.
I would love to know how you captured the visible edges
