Ok to post about NSFW games? My game’s making over 200 usd a month. Grown slowly over the last 9-10 months. Haven’t put too much effort into promoting it yet. Just recently got my engine to a place where I can tell the stories I wanna tell.
Built a mostly hand built engine over three.js that lets my 3d game work from VR to iphones.

We try to differentiate in a few ways:
* we try to be as fast and user friendly as possible, because nobody likes filling in timesheets: logical screens that align with the task you need to perform, keyboard support, flexible input...
* democratic pricing. a lot of competitors hide the good stuff behind the expensive subscriptions, and per-seat pricing quickly becomes expensive
* It has grown from our own needs
We use Elixir and Phoenix for our application, which is quite an amazing experience. It's a very different approach from the established "React/JS storefront" with "Traditional backend language REST API" that you see in lots of places. It's also a functional language. It's definitely something new, and something that we would recommend you experience.
We also switched from a simple debian server for hosting with standard CI/CD pipelines to a more exotic setup. We are now running a full kubernetes cluster on Talos Linux, with GitOps CI/CD using Flux. This was also something new for us, and a bit of a challenge to get it working, but now it is amazing to see it in action.

Greg Nuckols Macrofactor's benchmark metrics therefore depend on internal data that isn't disclosed or independently verifiable.
So the published accuracy claims don't tell us much. It's like a student saying, “I scored 99% on a test,” but not showing anyone the test questions or their answers. You have no way to independently verify whether the score actually reflects how well they perform.
The number might be completely accurate, but without seeing the benchmark dataset, there's no way for anyone outside the company to reproduce or properly evaluate the claim.
But for Macrocodex, we do not charge people any money, and people can read the reviews and even the algorithm details!
Our effectiveness claims are based on our own data from 17,000+ users and independent user reports in our group, consisting of 2,000+ members already!

People actually bought version 1, and still use it, but its mostly free users. Its hard to get people to pay anything.. but i did make about $1000 from v1. People still use it everyday, even though its not AS useful as it was before since agents have improved but it comes in handy.

I'm working on a small SaaS to archive web pages. It's still very early stage. So far there's a Chrome/Firefox extension and RSS feed reader. I'm still working on some more interesting integrations.
At the moment, it's not really a monetize-able product because it's so niche, and competitors are well established. My goal is to have stable, consistent pricing for years (hopefully decades), while also making it easy to switch to self-hosted alternatives.

I never thought anybody would pay for this. I have it locally, no need for sass. And it hits into my zettlekasten.
Even the people I know that have a use for this, are unwilling to pay and they rather suffer copy pasting things.
It seems more of a feature than a service imo so the integrations would be the interesting bit. Best of luck!!

"Not really monetizable yet" is usually a positioning problem, not a product one. Web archiving for everyone is hard to charge for. Web archiving for one group with a compliance or legal reason to keep pages (agencies, journalists, e-commerce teams tracking competitor prices) is very chargeable. Who's using it today?

Congrats on the 700. Genuine question: how did you land on the current price, and have you ever tested going up? In my experience the first price a bootstrapper picks is the one they'd pay themselves, which is almost always too low.
